In a gripping case that has captivated Thailand, a 36-year-old woman named Sararat Rangsiwuthaporn has been sentenced to death for allegedly murdering 14 of her friends using cyanide. Authorities arrested Sararat, also referred to as 'Am Cyanide' by the Thai media, earlier this year after they found traces of cyanide in the body of a wealthy friend who collapsed shortly after dining with her.

The court in Bangkok revealed that Sararat targeted her friends, primarily those she owed money, due to her gambling addiction. Following an autopsy, investigations uncovered a series of suspicious deaths linked to her dating back to 2015. During the trial, the victim's mother expressed relief at the verdict, stating that there was now justice for her daughter.

Sararat's former husband and lawyer received prison sentences for obstructing justice by helping her hide evidence. Reports indicate Sararat may have used cyanide, a highly regulated poison known for being lethal, especially in large amounts. The incident has sparked national concern about safety and trust among friendships, as details continue to unfold regarding her alleged crimes.
