In filings from Florida, Nores claims that Geoff made misleading statements to Argentine investigators that contained serious omissions and lacked personal knowledge. These statements suggested that due to Liam's struggles with addiction, he had been in the care of Nores and his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy. Nores insists that he and Liam shared a close friendship but stresses he never held any formal duty of care for him, as Liam was an independent adult capable of making his own decisions.
