A group of thieves entered the Villena Museum in Alicante, Spain, during the early morning. In just four minutes, they looted the "Treasure of Villena" – a collection of gold rings, bracelets, bowls, and more, dating back to around 1,000 BC.
The police were alerted by the alarm at the local sports centre, which acted as a diversion. By the time the museum’s alarm rang, the robbers had already begun breaking in. They walked out with most of the gold before officers arrived.
