Amsterdam Celebrates Pride on Water

Amsterdam’s canals filled with music and color as thousands gathered to watch the city’s annual Pride boat parade.

The Dutch capital hosted this year’s WorldPride event, drawing visitors from across the globe.

Costumed participants danced and waved from a colorful flotilla of 80 decorated vessels as they made their way through the city’s waterways.

Security was visibly heightened at the event, with police cruising the canals in motorboats.

These measures come just a week after a deadly attack on a Pride event in Berlin, which killed one person and injured at least 29 others.
