Russian forces have struck Kyiv's Northern Bridge for the second time, damaging its road surface and trolleybus overhead wires, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
The attack follows a wave of drone strikes on the Southern Bridge earlier this week, signalling a new escalation that is now targeting the city’s critical transport infrastructure.
Klitschko said emergency services were on their way and that traffic from the west to the east bank was currently blocked, making travel across the Dnipro River a major challenge for residents.
He warned that Moscow's increasing number of missile and drone attacks were “tearing Kyiv apart” and that the city was in a “very dramatic situation” as logistics, housing, and other key facilities were hit.
Russia claims its actions are in response to Ukrainian strikes on Russian energy sites, but analysts say the first attacks began earlier in the conflict.
Citizens are urged to avoid the affected routes while repairs are underway and to stay updated through official channels.
