The releases of at least two popular Japanese films have been postponed in China as the countries are locked in a dispute over Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's remarks about Taiwan. The delayed releases include 'Cells at Work!' and 'Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Super Hot! The Spicy Kasukabe Dancers', as reported by Chinese state media CCTV. Cinema tickets for the hit Japanese animation 'Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle' are still available, but sales have fallen recently as tensions rose. Takaichi has been a vocal critic of China, suggesting that Japan could take military action if Beijing attacked Taiwan. Film distributors have decided to halt releases following the negative outlook on Japanese films in China and audience sentiment. CCTV did not specify how long these delays would last. The ongoing dispute has also led to a drop in visits from Chinese tourists to Japan, impacting various sectors of the economy.
