Legendary Bollywood Icon Nana Patekar Dies at 75

Veteran Indian actor Nana Patekar collapsed and died in Goa after a cardiac arrest. He was 75.



Known for fierce roles in films like Parinda and Krantiveer, Patekar earned three National Film Awards and remained a pillar of Marathi theatre.



He was a vocal supporter of farmers, co‑founding the Naam Foundation for water conservation and rural welfare.



Despite being cleared of a 2018 sexual‑harassment claim in 2019, his career was also marked by controversy, a hallmark of his outspoken nature.



After his passing, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and stars such as Akshay Kumar paid tribute, calling his voice and intensity unforgettable.
