On Wednesday, thick smoke billowed from the main stage in Boom, Belgium, just days before Tomorrowland was set to kick off on Friday. Organizers reported that although the fire caused severe damage, fortunately, no injuries were reported from what they categorized as a "serious incident."
Every year, Tomorrowland draws over 400,000 attendees and features top-tier electronic artists, such as David Guetta, Steve Aoki, and Swedish House Mafia. With performances expected to draw huge crowds over the upcoming weekends, festival coordinators assured that festival grounds will open as scheduled.
