Ahmed Muharram, a 'notorious' Tanzanian drug-trafficking kingpin, has been arrested in Lusaka, Zambia. The Zambian Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) reported that Muharram was taken into custody during a significant operation, which unveiled large quantities of marijuana and cough syrup containing codeine. Authorities indicated that he had been on their watch-list for a considerable time. The DEC mentioned that intelligence-led operations facilitated Muharram's arrest. In total, over 1,380 kg of cannabis was seized, along with other drugs, emphasizing Zambia's ongoing battle against drug trafficking.
