MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Federal officers shot another person in Minneapolis amid the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown, Gov. Tim Walz said Saturday.

Walz, a Democrat, expressed his concerns on social media, urging President Donald Trump to halt the federal operations in the state. Pull the thousands of violent, untrained officers out of Minnesota. Now, he posted. The circumstances surrounding the latest shooting remain unclear, while Homeland Security mentioned that the individual was armed.

Protests erupted soon after, with enraged bystanders confronting the federal agents, branding them as 'cowards.' The latest incident adds to the rising tensions in a city already fraught with unrest since Renee Good was shot by an ICE officer on January 7. Thousands had gathered the day prior to call for an end to the federal crackdown as demonstrators braved the cold to demand accountability.
