A military helicopter has crashed in Qatar, killing all seven people on board, authorities in the Gulf state say. They confirm that all bodies were recovered after the helicopter went down due to a 'technical malfunction' in Qatar's territorial waters on Sunday. The victims include four Qatari military personnel, one Turkish serviceman, and two technicians from a Turkish defense company.

The cause of the crash during a training exercise is currently being investigated. Turkey maintains a military base in Qatar, established under a defense agreement between the two nations in 2014. The Qatari interior ministry has expressed deep condolences to the victims' families, while Turkey's defense ministry reported that the helicopter was conducting training exercises with the Qatar-Turkey Joint Forces Command at the time of the incident. The crash adds tension to the region, which is already influenced by ongoing conflicts involving the US, Israel, and Iran.
