In a bold move, activists from Greenpeace have stolen a wax figure of Emmanuel Macron from the Grevin Museum in Paris. Dressed as tourists, the activists transformed into museum workers, covered the statue with a blanket, and exited through an emergency door, according to sources from AFP.

The waxwork was later unveiled outside the Russian Embassy, where the activists condemned Macron's lack of action towards French companies still trading with Russia since its invasion of Ukraine. Footage captured the activists showcasing the figure alongside banners criticizing Macron for what they called a "double game."

Jean-Francois Julliard, the leader of Greenpeace France, pointed out that while Paris publicly supports Ukraine, it is still allowing French businesses to import gas and fertilizers from Russia. He claimed Macron should lead the charge among European leaders to terminate these trade agreements.

Economic analyses reveal that Russia has profited immensely from fossil fuel exports, including significant revenue from EU nations, with France being a notable contributor. Despite imposing sanctions and offering military assistance to Ukraine, France's business ties with Russia have raised eyebrows.

The wax figure, valued at around €40,000, remains unaccounted for, and no arrests have been made following the daring protest. Meanwhile, Macron has hinted at further sanctions against Russia, emphasizing the need for cooperation to achieve a ceasefire.
