In brief
A rift widens between Prince Harry and Sophie Chandauka as they clash over his recent resignation and claims of bullying.
An escalating conflict between Prince Harry and charity leader Sophie Chandauka has rocked the organization they co-founded, Sentebale. On Sunday, Chandauka accused Harry of bullying and harassment after he announced his resignation as the charity’s patron. She claimed this move was an attempt to undermine the charity after his unsuccessful bid to remove her from her role as chairwoman of the board.“Can you imagine what that attack has done for me and the 540 individuals in the Sentebale organizations and their families?” Chandauka stated in an interview with Sky News, branding Harry's actions as “harassment and bullying at scale.” In response to the allegations, a spokesperson for Harry and Meghan declined to comment. Sentebale, established in 2006 in honor of Diana, Princess of Wales, aims to support young individuals affected by the H.I.V. crisis in Lesotho. The charity has grown to address various social issues, including substance abuse and climate change.Harry, also known as the Duke of Sussex, explained his resignation was due to a "ruptured" relationship with the board and Chandauka. His departure followed the resignation of five other board members, intensifying the turbulence within the organization.
