In brief
In a historic reunion, Black Sabbath will perform at Birmingham’s Villa Park for a star-studded benefit concert, marking a poignant end to their iconic journey.
In a thrilling announcement, Ozzy Osbourne and the original members of Black Sabbath are set to reunite for a monumental fundraising concert on July 5th at Villa Park, Birmingham. This one-day festival, aptly named "Back To The Beginning," will feature a lineup of heavy metal legends including Metallica, Slayer, and Pantera, celebrating the band's influential legacy. This will be the first time in two decades that Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward will share the stage, following their farewell concert in 2017. Although health challenges have limited Osbourne's touring activities, his wife, Sharon, confirmed he is eager to perform one last time. She noted, "This is his full stop," expressing Osbourne's desire to bid farewell to fans and friends adequately. Alongside Black Sabbath, a supergroup featuring rock stars like Billy Corgan and Slash will perform iconic songs, making the concert a must-see for metal fans. Proceeds will benefit Cure Parkinson's, Birmingham Children's Hospital, and Acorn Children's Hospice, cementing the event's meaningful legacy. Black Sabbath, often credited with pioneering heavy metal, invites fans to witness a celebration of their incredible journey that began in 1968, making this concert an unforgettable chapter in rock history.
