Quarry workers in Oxfordshire, England recently found a trail of dinosaur footprints left by majestic sauropods and fierce predators over 166 million years ago. These prints, known as part of a “dinosaur highway,” were discovered while the crew was clearing clay. Initially just a swell in the ground, it turned out to be vital evidence of Jurassic life! The site, which has yielded over 40 distinct footprints, was already famous among paleontologists and further solidifies its status as a hotspot for dinosaur exploration. As vertibrate paleontologist Emma Nicholls notes, this discovery proves there are still mysteries of the past waiting to be uncovered. Jurassic England may have been a swampy paradise, home to dinosaur giants!
