Federal immigration agents shot at a moving vehicle on Wednesday morning during an enforcement and removal action in Glen Burnie, injuring two people.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department reported that neither injured individual has life-threatening injuries. Both were taken to the hospital for care.

Authorities were alerted to the situation at around 10:50 a.m. and confirmed that ICE agents were the only officials involved in the shooting.

Initial reports suggest that the agents tried to approach a white van, which then attempted to run over them. In response, the agents fired at the van as it sped away before coming to a halt in nearby woods.

The identities of the injured parties have not been disclosed. An investigation into the incident is being conducted by local police, while the FBI looks into the assault on the agents, and ICE carries out its own internal review.
