MrBeast's media company has been sued by a former employee over claims of sexual harassment and workplace gender bias.
The 27-year-old, real name Jimmy Donaldson, is the world's most-followed YouTuber and employs more than 500 people.
Lorrayne Mavromatis, a former executive who worked for his company, Beast Industries, between 2022 and 2025, alleged harassment of women employees was 'condoned' and complaints were not taken seriously at the business.
A representative for Beast Industries described the allegations as 'categorically false' in a response to BBC Newsbeat.
Mavromatis first joined the company as its head of Instagram before being promoted. In court documents, she claims she was sacked after complaining about a workplace that suffered from a lack of basic employment protections.
Mavromatis said sexual harassment of other female employees was both 'condoned and/or perpetuated by their supervisors,' adding she was treated differently than her male counterpart. She says her claims were dismissed as 'unsubstantiated' when she complained about the hostile environment.
One specific incident involved her asking former CEO James Warren why Donaldson would not collaborate with her. Warren allegedly responded that she was 'a beautiful woman' and had a 'certain sexual effect' on MrBeast.
Mavromatis claims she was demoted to a less visible role known internally as the division where 'careers go to die.' She emphasizes that she was terminated less than three weeks after returning from pregnancy-related leave.
Due to MrBeast's conduct and the adverse work environment, Mavromatis asserts she has incurred 'mental anguish, humiliation, and damage to her emotional and psychological well-being,' seeking 'lost wages, lost benefits, and various forms of damages.'
A company representative branded the lawsuit a 'clout-chasing complaint,' asserting they have evidence to refute Mavromatis' claims. They claimed evidence, including messages and witness testimonies, would unequivocally disprove the allegations.
MrBeast has previously faced legal scrutiny and encountered claims regarding the treatment of contestants in his reality show Beast Games, which he denied were exaggerated.}
