A New Zealand woman has filed a lawsuit against famous author Neil Gaiman and his estranged wife, singer Amanda Palmer, alleging serious sexual misconduct. Scarlett Pavlovich claims in her lawsuit, lodged in federal courts across Massachusetts, New York, and Wisconsin, that Gaiman raped and assaulted her on multiple occasions while she worked as a nanny for their son.

Pavlovich asserts that Palmer played a role in "procuring and presenting" her during those incidents, leaving her feeling trapped and without financial stability. The claims emerged in greater detail in an article from New York Magazine and a podcast featuring four other accusers who reported similar experiences with Gaiman.

While Pavlovich seeks redress for her emotional and physical trauma, Gaiman has categorically denied the allegations, maintaining that he has never partaken in any non-consensual activity. Public responses from both Gaiman's and Palmer’s representatives are still awaited.
