President Vladimir Putin has stated that Moscow disagrees with parts of a US plan on how to end the Russia-Ukraine war, following discussions with US negotiators at the Kremlin. During an interview with India Today, he remarked, At times we said that yes, we can discuss this, but to that we can’t agree. Major disagreements include the fate of territory seized by Russian forces and security guarantees for Ukraine. Trump envoy Steve Witkoff, leading the US team, is set to meet with Ukrainian negotiators in Florida, as Trump remarked about the discussions being 'reasonably good.' Putin, however, emphasized the need for dialogue on every point, claiming that Ukrainian troops must withdraw from the eastern Donbas region, now largely controlled by Russian forces. Despite the talks taking significant time, there were no compromises reached, and Ukrainian officials accused Putin of stalling negotiations. As the conflict continues, both sides are under pressure to find a viable solution.
