WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump's approval ratings rose concerning his handling of the Israel-Palestine conflict following a ceasefire deal, according to a new AP-NORC poll. However, his overall approval among U.S. adults remains low as economic concerns, healthcare issues, and immigration dominate public sentiment.

The survey, conducted from October 9-13, shows that about 47% of U.S. adults now approve of Trump's handling of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict—up from 37% in September. This boost primarily comes from Democratic respondents.

For instance, a mixed sentiment was noted among Trump's voters, with many expressing disappointment over domestic issues such as inflation. Justin Sanders, a 31-year-old Republican from Alabama, voiced frustration, stating, 'It’s cool he’s bringing peace, but he should focus on American people too.'

Despite the rise in approval for his foreign diplomacy, Trump's domestic challenges loom large. Many citizens, about 70%, feel the country is heading in the wrong direction amidst a government shutdown and persistent inflation rates affecting groceries and healthcare accessibility.

The poll emphasizes a crucial dichotomy: while Trump finds increasing support for his foreign endeavors, his domestic policies fail to resonate, reflecting broader public concerns over pressing issues.
