US‑Israeli Strikes Hit 50+ Iranian Military Bases
Satellite images released by BBC Verify show that over 50 Iranian military bases—including the headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps—have been severely damaged in the recent US‑Israeli offensive.
What’s been hit? The images document destroyed aircraft at Mehrabad and Shiraz airbases, bombed ships at the Bandar Abbas naval base, and damage to IRGC compounds and missile facilities. At least 13,000 targets across Iran are reported by US officials, yet the data only covers the most visible sites.
Despite the heavy losses, Iran appears to be using the temporary ceasefire to repair key missile tunnels at the Tabriz base, as shown by satellite images of cleared roads and construction vehicles. Critics warn that Tehran’s under‑funded economy may slow full re‑armament, while analysts note that Iran still wields powerful drones and small vessels able to threaten U.S. forces in the Strait of Hormuz.
The conflict has also precipitated civilian casualties, with more than 1,700 fatalities reported—though U.S. military officials challenge the figures. The strike cycle continues, with both sides targeting each other’s bases and military assets across the region.
