The Ghanaian government has seized a 2019 Lamborghini Urus belonging to popular artist Shatta Wale, following claims that the vehicle is involved in criminal activities tied to Nana Kwabena Amuah, currently incarcerated in the U.S. for his role in a fraud scheme. Shatta Wale, whose real name is Charles Nii Armah, asserts that he has no connection to Amuah and describes himself as a "third-party owner" of the vehicle.

On social media, Wale expressed his frustration, stating that law enforcement's decision to enter his home with firearms was unnecessary. He mentioned purchasing the car for $150,000 and provided documentation to support his ownership. The seizure is part of Amuah's restitution, which totals $4.7 million, as he was recently sentenced to over seven years in prison for defrauding numerous organizations.

Officials confirmed that the car was taken without incident and cited standard safety protocols that involved armed officers. The Lamborghini is now under the custody of Ghana's Economic and Organised Crime Office (Eoco), as U.S. agencies prepare to pursue legal protocols for its return to support victims of the fraud scheme.

The case has garnered significant public attention, especially as Shatta Wale is a prominent figure in the Ghanaian music scene, known for his collaboration with Beyoncé on the song "Already" from her 2019 "Lion King" album.
