Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated that Putin would meet Zelensky only when both parties are ready to discuss a proper agenda, blaming Ukraine for hindering progress.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte noted that discussions on security guarantees are ongoing, with a focus on strengthening Ukraine's military capabilities. Zelensky remarked on the recent unity displayed in Washington and called it a step forward, even as skepticism remains due to past unfulfilled agreements. Lavrov further complicated matters by denying planned meetings and claiming no concessions have come from Russia.
