Israel has ramped up its military actions in Syria, conducting airstrikes on the Defense Ministry and an area near the presidential palace in Damascus. This comes as the Israeli government issued a warning, closely monitoring the Syrian military's movements in Sweida, a southern province known for its Druse minority. Defense Minister Israel Katz emphasized Israel's commitment to protect the Druse and threatened to enhance military strikes if the situation did not stabilize.

Violence has surged in Sweida, leading to over 200 fatalities within just a few days, marking the most severe unrest the region has seen in years, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. The airstrikes resulted in significant damage and injuries to at least nine individuals, although the Israeli military remained silent on the situation.

Despite a ceasefire being called in Sweida on Tuesday, clashes reignited, indicating the fragile state of peace in the area amid ongoing tensions between the government forces and Druse fighters.
