Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani has been injured in a car accident in Manchester, New Hampshire. Giuliani was a passenger in a Ford Bronco when it was struck from behind on Saturday evening, according to local police.

He was diagnosed with a fractured thoracic vertebra, multiple lacerations, and other injuries. Known as 'America's Mayor' after his leadership during the 9/11 crisis, Giuliani later became an adviser to Donald Trump.

All individuals involved in the crash were taken to a hospital but none suffered life-threatening injuries. The incident occurred shortly after Giuliani helped an alleged victim of domestic violence on the road, prompting him to call 911.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing, with police confirming they have identified the driver involved in the collision.

Giuliani, who served as NYC's mayor starting in 1993, was also a key figure in Trump's legal efforts and faced defamation lawsuits related to election fraud claims.
