The Hong Kong Bird Watching Society hosted its first-ever bird call contest on Saturday, with the aim to promote conservation awareness. Participants dressed up and took to the stage to mimic rhythmic calls of the Koel, Asian barred owlet, and the Chestnut-winged cockatoo among others. The top prize was awarded to Bob Chan for his impressive impression of a Eurasian tree sparrow. Over 580 species of birds have been recorded in Hong Kong, highlighting the rich avian diversity in the region.
