A Ryanair flight from Berlin to Milan encountered severe turbulence, leading to injuries among eight passengers. The incident occurred as bad weather forced the flight to divert to Memmingen Airport in southern Germany. According to Bavarian police, those injured included a two-year-old child and a woman with a head injury.

The captain promptly called for medical assistance, ensuring a normal landing at Memmingen on Wednesday night. Although three passengers required hospitalization, others were treated on-site. With conditions unfavorable for landing at the original Munich destination, the aircraft landed safely at 20:44 local time.

Ryanair has issued an apology to the affected passengers and arranged for alternative transport to Milan, including a replacement flight for Thursday morning. All 179 passengers and six crew members aboard were checked for injuries, reflecting the airline's commitment to passenger safety amidst unexpected turbulence.
