Marius Borg Høiby, the 28-year-old eldest son of Norway's Crown Princess Mette-Marit, is in serious legal trouble as he's been charged with 32 offenses, including four counts of rape. The charges involve allegations of abuse towards a former partner and breaching restraining orders related to another partner. Høiby, who was born before his mother married Crown Prince Haakon, denies the most severe charges but plans to accept responsibility for some lesser offenses, according to his lawyer Petar Sekulic.

If convicted of the rape charges, he could face up to 10 years in prison. Other accusations include secretly filming women without their consent. The four alleged rapes reportedly occurred between 2018 and 2024, with one occurring after his arrest. Høiby has been detained three times last year alone and has been under investigation since August. The upcoming trial is expected to start in January and could last around six weeks, highlighting the serious nature of the allegations against him.
