KYIV, Ukraine — Key Ukrainian officials hosted 60 foreign diplomats on a tour of severely damaged government offices in Kyiv, just one day after Russia's largest aerial attack, involving over 800 drones, devastated the city. The assault resulted in the tragic loss of four lives and struck key governmental structures, including a prominent Soviet-era building.
Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko, alongside Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha and Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, guided the diplomats through destroyed offices, riddled with debris, while condemning the attack as a blatant refusal by Russia to engage in diplomatic peace talks. Svyrydenko articulated that this act is a clear message from Russia that it is not interested in peace.
As the war continues to evolve, the chilling reminder of the conflict's severity underscores the fragility of ongoing peace negotiations, leaving many questioning the potential for resolution.
