A devastating fire at a nightclub in Goa, India, resulted in the deaths of 25 individuals, prompting the owners to flee to Thailand just hours after the incident, police reported. The brothers, Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra, took a flight to Phuket shortly after the tragedy struck at 'Birch By Romeo Lane'.

The fire was reportedly ignited by fireworks being set off inside the club, a popular spot in Goa’s bustling nightlife scene. Most of the victims were club staff, but tourists were also among those who perished. Authorities state that five individuals remain hospitalized with injuries.

In response to their flight, local police have reached out to Interpol for assistance in locating the Luthra brothers. Following a raid at their home in Delhi, police found that they had already left the country, which the Goa police interpreted as an indication of their intent to evade justice.

Saurabh Luthra expressed deep remorse on social media for the tragedy, without addressing his current location, while Gaurav has not made any comments since the incident.

The fire tragically disrupted a Bollywood event, leading to chaotic scenes as clubbers attempted to escape. Firefighters faced significant challenges due to the nightclub's design, which features narrow walkways leading to an island structure.

Authorities initially suspected a gas explosion as the fire's cause but have since shifted focus to pyrotechnics igniting the venue's wooden elements. Many of the deceased were migrant workers seeking employment in Goa. This tragedy has left families in profound mourning, emphasizing the urgent need for safety measures in entertainment venues.
