In a tragic turn of events, six Israelis lost their lives and eight others were wounded at a bus stop in Jerusalem following a shooting by Palestinian gunmen. The violence occurred at Ramot Junction during the morning rush hour, a time when many commuters were present.
According to Israeli police, the armed attackers arrived by vehicle and deliberately opened fire on civilians waiting for buses. Quick action from armed bystanders resulted in the attackers being shot dead on the spot.
The tragic incident has been described as one of the deadliest shooting attacks in recent years in the city, prompting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to affirm Israel's ongoing battle against terrorism. He stated, “We will track down and arrest those who aided and dispatched the attackers.”
Among the deceased were five men ranging from 25 to 79 years old and a woman aged 60. Two of the wounded individuals are reported to be in serious condition in local hospitals.

Hamas, though not claiming responsibility, praised the attackers, highlighting the volatile atmosphere following this assault, which coincides with escalated military actions in Gaza City.
