Dayana Yastremska, Ukraine’s tennis star, says her flat in Odesa was hit by a Russian Kalibr cruise missile.
She posted a photo of a flaming residential building and marked that the only thing that survived the blast was a Roland Garros towel.
The towel, famous from Paris’s Grand Slam, hangs in the ruins — a stark reminder of sports amid war.
The attack wounded 37 people (including a baby) and left two missing, according to Odesa regional head Oleh Kiper.
Yastremska, currently ranked 113th, has already been through Ukraine’s bombed homes, as other athletes have reported similar damage.
