Dawn Light, 56, has been charged with aggravated intimidation of a juror after allegedly photographing members exiting the Plymouth courthouse during the livestreamed trial of Lindsay Clancy.
Clancy, 36, faces three counts of first‑degree murder for the deaths of her three children. The trial has attracted widespread media attention and sparked heated public debate.
Light, a registered nurse with no prior criminal record, was ordered to stay away from the courthouse grounds and from anyone involved in the trial. She is also prohibited from publishing or sharing any photos that may have been stored on iCloud.
Sources say that detectives found several photographs of jurors in a deleted folder on Light’s phone. Prosecutors requested a $50,000 (about £37,000) bail, which a judge refused to grant.
The judge, William Sullivan, has issued a specific order banning the photographing or filming of jurors during the proceedings. Light’s lawyer argues it was a misunderstanding, and she has pleaded not guilty.
The jury has been deliberating on Clancy’s case since Thursday and is currently at a deadlock. It will finally return to the courtroom this week.
