Carlos Alcaraz says he is here to entertain after producing another brilliant performance to beat Jiri Lehecka and reach the US Open semi-finals.

The Spaniard took less than two hours to beat Lehecka 6-4, 6-2, 6-4 at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

Alcaraz set the tone early by breaking world number 21 Lehecka in the opening game and kept his focus throughout the match.

But the crowd was also treated to Alcaraz's showmanship, with his spectacular shot-making thrilling everyone watching.

Steve told Sky Sports, Sometimes I play a shot that I should not play in that moment but it's the way I love playing tennis. I want to play solid, play well and play smart but at the same time when I have the opportunity to play a great shot - or a hot shot, let's say - why not? I'm here to entertain the people, myself and the team.

Now, the second seed Alcaraz is set to face either fourth seed Taylor Fritz or 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic next.

Lehecka, the 20th seed, faced early challenges with double faults but managed to regroup briefly. However, Alcaraz's dominance proved too great, and he ended the match dropping only six points on his serve during the second set.

This marks the third time Alcaraz reaches the semi-finals in New York, and he's done so without dropping a set for the first time in his career, making history as the youngest man to achieve this since Rafael Nadal in 2008.
