A four‑day agriculture and livestock exhibition opened in Kabul on Wednesday, 5 November 2026, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock.
The event, hosted by the government, brings farmers, livestock breeders and local entrepreneurs together to display their products and connect with investors and traders from across the country.
Minister Mawlawi Ataullah Omari said the expo takes advantage of Afghanistan’s abundant water resources, fertile soil, a favorable climate and the skills of its people. He called the exhibition an important platform for showing achievements in the sector and for forging stronger links among farmers, livestock producers and the private sector.
The ministry’s stated goals are to improve market access for agricultural and livestock goods, boost domestic production, reduce dependence on imports, expand exports and strengthen coordination between producers and business investors.
The exhibition is part of a series of trade initiatives underway in the capital; a week earlier, Kabul also opened Afghanistan’s first specialized mining exhibition with more than 140 booths showcasing precious stones such as emeralds, rubies and lapis lazuli.
