Russian forces fired ballistic missiles at the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, on Thursday night, Oct. 29 — the first explosions were heard at about 22:50, according to a report that warehouses in the Darnytskyi district were ablaze after the impact.
Mayor Vitali Klitschko said the city experienced the strikes and that the explosions reverberated throughout Kiev. The attack came after earlier daytime strikes that left 20 people dead and at least 109 injured, as reported by the Kyiv Post.
In Darnytskyi, the missiles hit storage facilities, setting them on fire. The reports list no further casualties from this exact strike yet, but the previous attacks had already caused significant loss of life.
