In brief

Russia’s Defense Ministry said its forces launched 11 coordinated strikes on Ukrainian military-industrial facilities, logistics hubs, and transport infrastructure, and intercepted more than 5,300 drones in the last week. Ukrainian forces struck Russian ammunition depots in response. The week saw the destruction of 14 cargo ships and civilian casualties in Ukraine.

On Friday, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that during the past week its forces launched 11 group strikes against Ukrainian targets and shot down more than 5,300 drones, according to Xinhua.

The strikes targeted Ukrainian military‑industrial enterprises, logistics centers, energy and transport infrastructure, and production workshops that store cruise missiles, ground robotic systems, drones and ammunition. Russian forces also hit temporary deployment sites of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries.

In addition to air and ground targets, Russia reported that 14 dry cargo ships carrying weapons, military equipments and dual‑use goods were struck, while port infrastructure used to receive, store and distribute military cargo was taken out of operation.

Russian air defence forces claimed they intercepted one guided aerial bomb, four Flamingo missiles, six Neptune missiles, two HIMARS rockets and 5,315 drones.

Ukrainian media reported that the attacks killed one person and injured 23 others over the past day.

In a separate operation, the Ukrainian military said that on Thursday and Friday it struck two Russian ammunition depots in the Zaporizhzhia region, a drone command post and a fuel and lubricants depot in the Donetsk region.

These exchanges reflect the escalating intensity of the conflict as both sides retaliate against each other’s strikes, with Russia targeting key logistical and industrial nodes in Ukraine and Ukraine responding by hitting Russian supply points and command facilities.
