Leonardo DiCaprio's politically charged thriller One Battle After Another leads the field at this year's Bafta Film Awards, with 14 nominations. It is closely followed by vampire-horror Sinners, which has 13, and Shakespearean drama Hamnet and table-tennis biopic Marty Supreme, both with 11 nominations each.

Timothée Chalamet and Jessie Buckley maintained their positions as Oscar frontrunners by repeating their nominations at the BAFTAs. The list also includes actors notable for missing out on the Oscars—Chase Infiniti and Paul Mescal.

The BAFTAs offer a broader range of categories, often including six slots per nomination compared to the Oscars' five. This year features special categories to honor UK talent, with films like I Swear and The Ballad of Wallis Island among the nominees.

Though many films performed well, none matched the BAFTA record of 16 nominations set by Gandhi in 1982. The BAFTA Film Awards ceremony will be held on February 22 at London's Royal Festival Hall.
