Medical Plane With 6 Missing Off Massachusetts Coast
A Gulfstream G‑100 medical flight carrying patients vanished near Nantucket early Saturday, leaving six crew and passengers unlocated.
The aircraft left Bermuda’s L.F. Wade International Airport at 11:40 pm and was due to touch down at Boston Logan at 1:30 am. Tracking data shows it dropped sharply from 7,300 m to 3,300 m before its signals stopped.
The U.S. Coast Guard’s Northeast District has launched an air‑and‑water search off the Nantucket coast, spreading helicopters, boats and drones across the area.
Latitude Air Ambulances, the operator, provides international medical transport and is coordinating with authorities to locate the missing passengers and crew.
Authorities urge anyone who may have seen the aircraft or received a distress call to report immediately.
