Police in the Bahamas have released a Michigan man who said his wife disappeared after falling overboard from a small boat in waters off the island nation, authorities said Monday. Brian Hooker, of Onsted in southern Michigan, had been in police custody since April 8 after being questioned. He told CBS News that he wants to believe his wife, 55, is still alive and plans to search for her again. 'I won’t be able to stop looking,' he said emotionally. Law enforcement freed him after consulting with prosecutors who decided against filing charges at this time. The couple was traveling in an 8-foot motorboat when Lynette fell overboard, allegedly losing her grip after the engine shut off. Strong currents reportedly carried her away as Brian lost sight of her. The U.S. Coast Guard has opened a separate investigation, while Lynette's daughter expressed doubt that her mother would simply fall due to her sailing experience. The couple has a history of contention, with both having accused each other of assault in the past.
