Oliver Tree’s Body Repatriated to California After Brazil Helicopter Crash
American singer Oliver Tree died after his helicopter collided with another aircraft over Rio de Janeiro last week. The crash also claimed five other passengers.
The body was sent back to the United States, where his family posted on Instagram that he can finally rest.
After his passing, a statement said that Oliver had written a will that includes a charity foundation. The foundation will be called Dr. Oliver Tree’s Extremely Epic Grant For Baby Geniuses and will support emerging artists.
The family thanked fans for their support during the difficult time, saying Oliver would be proud of his supporters, friends and family. They added a message of peace for the singer.
Tree was born in Santa Cruz, California, and first rose to fame on social media in 2016. He was known for hits like “Life Goes On,” “Miss You” and “Alien Boy.”
He had been touring worldwide, with a show in São Paulo, Brazil in early June and was scheduled to perform in Lisbon, Glasgow, Manchester and London in the coming months.
The crash was reported first on June 15, and the body returned on June 22. Family members announce the foundation will carry his legacy forward.
