Chef Hilda Baci has officially broken the Guinness World Record for the largest pot of jollof rice, a dish weighing a whopping 8,780 kilograms! This impressive feat took place in Lagos, where Baci and her team spent nine hours in the kitchen. The cooking challenge encountered a scare when the giant pot used for the cooking buckled during weighing, but thankfully, no rice was lost.

In her heartfelt reaction to the achievement, Baci expressed gratitude to her team and supporters, stating, 'This moment isn't just mine... it belongs to all of us.' The recipe for this monumental dish included 4,000 kg of rice, 500 cartons of tomato paste, 600 kg of onions, and 168 kg of goat meat, all cooked in a specially designed pot holding 23,000 liters.

Thousands gathered to support her record attempt, and Baci's dish was later shared with the vibrant crowd, emphasizing the communal spirit she embodies.
