WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump’s second term has been quite the ride, but his approval numbers tell a different story.

An AP-NORC poll conducted recently shows that only about 4 in 10 U.S. adults approve of Trump's efforts. This consistency in numbers reflects a divide among the American public as his focus shifts towards global affairs.

Moreover, Trump shows signs of vulnerability — many Americans are uneasy about his handling of the economy, which only 37% think he's managing well. Immigration, one of his previous strongholds, now sees diminishing support as well, with just 38% approval.

As criticisms pile up regarding his priorities, it raises the question of whether he can maintain control of his narrative as he approaches high-stakes decisions about foreign interventions and everyday domestic issues.
