A surprising mix-up has led to a significant warning from the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (USFDA) regarding Celsius energy drinks. It seems that some cans of the Astro Vibe Blue Razz edition were accidentally filled with vodka instead of the intended energy drink. The issue arose when a packaging supplier mistakenly delivered empty Celsius cans to High Noon, a vodka seltzer manufacturer, which then filled them with alcohol.
As a precaution, High Noon is recalling several Beach Variety packs from the same production line, but importantly, no illnesses or adverse reactions have been reported concerning these items. The recall affects two specific production lots that were distributed to retailers across Florida, New York, Ohio, South Carolina, Virginia, and Wisconsin between July 21 and July 23.
Consumers are strongly urged to check their cans for the specific retail codes and lot numbers, which can be found lasered on the bottom. If you find a Celsius Astro Vibe energy drink can with the impacted lot codes, the USFDA advises you to dispose of it and not consume the contents. Meanwhile, High Noon packs with different lot codes remain safe to enjoy. Keep an eye out for the latest news and stay safe!
