Former Migos rapper Offset has been shot outside a casino in Florida, according to US media reports.
The 34-year-old, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, is in a 'stable' condition and being 'closely monitored' in hospital, a spokesperson told Variety.
The Seminole Police Department has confirmed that the incident took place on Monday evening, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries.
Police reported that an incident occurred 'at a valet area' outside of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood and 'two people have been detained in connection with the shooting'.
Offset is best known for being part of the hip-hop trio Migos along with Quavo and Takeoff. He married US singer Cardi B in 2017 and the couple have three children.
After a brief separation, they filed for divorce in 2024. Migos first gained popularity with their viral hit 'Versace' in 2013, followed by 'Bad and Boujee', which topped the Billboard Hot 100 in 2017.
In early 2022, with the trio splitting, Quavo and Takeoff formed their duo 'Unc & Phew'. Offset has since pursued a solo career. The tragic shooting death of Takeoff in 2022 has accentuated the dangers faced by artists in the hip-hop community.
