MIAMI (AP) – Hurricane Humberto is currently forming in the Atlantic Ocean, about 465 miles northeast of the northern Leeward Islands. It is moving northwest and is expected to strengthen substantially over the weekend, with forecasts suggesting it could develop into a major hurricane.

Simultaneously, Hurricane Gabrielle is transitioning into a post-tropical cyclone near the Azores, where a hurricane-watch has been issued. This storm has been generating maximum sustained winds nearing 65 mph and is projected to approach mainland Portugal by Sunday.

In the Pacific, Hurricane Narda remains a Category 1 storm but is anticipated to regain strength to Category 2 without posing a threat to land. For those in affected areas, following updates and preparations is vital.
