Eli Sharabi, a former hostage who lost his family to the Hamas attacks on October 7, speaks out about his heartbreaking journey. Captured by Hamas, Eli endured 491 days of captivity, only to discover upon his release that his wife, Lianne, and daughters, Noiya and Yahel, were tragically killed.

In a recent interview, he expressed deep concerns over a new peace plan aimed at ending ongoing hostilities between Israel and Hamas, fearing that negotiations may fall through and put remaining hostages at further risk.

Eli's plea is for world leaders, particularly U.S. President Donald Trump, to use their influence to facilitate the release of hostages and ultimately seek peace in the Middle East. He described his captivity experience, dealing with starvation and abuse, yet held on to hope for survival for himself and for his family.

Though grappling with the loss of his loved ones, Eli strives to rebuild his life, advocating for other hostages, and expressing a fierce determination to honor the memory of those he lost. He stated, It was very tough, but I really, really love life... I'm trying to be positive. I'm working on that. Eli's story illustrates the resilience of the human spirit even in the face of unimaginable grief.
