A tragic event in the world of online streaming has led to an investigation into the death of 46-year-old French streamer Raphaël Graven, better known as Jeanpormanove. Local media reports reveal he was discovered dead at a residence in Contes, just north of Nice, after participating in extreme challenges that included severe violence and sleep deprivation during his broadcasts. Graven's death occurred while he was live streaming, prompting officials to open an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding it.

French government minister Clara Chappaz condemned the situation, labeling it an "absolute horror" and highlighting the humiliation Graven faced for months. The live-streaming platform Kick, where Graven amassed over one million followers, expressed deep sorrow and announced they were reviewing the circumstances leading to his untimely death. They reiterated their commitment to upholding community guidelines designed to protect creators.

Chappaz has referred the case to Arcom, France's media regulator, as well as to Pharos, a reporting system for online content. Sarah El Haïry, France's High Commissioner for Children, emphasized the need for platforms to regulate content effectively to protect children from exposure to violence and urged parents to remain vigilant.

As the investigation unfolds, the streaming community mourns Graven's loss. His fellow streamers have shared their condolences and urged fans to respect his memory by refraining from distributing clips that captured his tragic moment.
