Tatiana Schlossberg, the granddaughter of former US President John F. Kennedy, has died aged 35.
Her family announced her death in a social media post shared by the John F Kennedy Library Foundation, writing: Our beautiful Tatiana passed away this morning. She will always be in our hearts.
In November, Schlossberg, a climate journalist, announced her diagnosis of an aggressive form of cancer. She had been told she had less than a year to live.
Sschlossberg was the daughter of designer Edwin Schlossberg and diplomat Caroline Kennedy, and is survived by her husband George Moran and their two children, three-year-old Edwin and one-year-old Josephine.
In a poignant article for The New Yorker titled, A Battle With My Blood, she revealed her diagnosis of acute myeloid leukemia, which came after the birth of her second child.
My first thought was that my kids wouldn’t remember me, she wrote. Despite undergoing treatments, she and her family faced a difficult prognosis.
Schlossberg's illustrious career as a climate journalist included the publication of her book, Inconspicuous Consumption: The Environmental Impact You Don't Know You Have, along with impactful writing featured in renowned publications like The New York Times.
Her legacy lives on through her contributions to environmental journalism, and she will be remembered for her advocacy, vibrant spirit, and dedication to making the world a better place.
