In a devastating escalation, three paramedics have been killed in southern Lebanon following consecutive Israeli airstrikes, according to local officials. This incident has intensified accusations against Israel, claiming they are deliberately targeting health workers in the ongoing conflict with Hezbollah.

Among the victims was Fadel Serhan, a dedicated 43-year-old with the Risala Scout Association, who was recently featured in a BBC report. The attacks occurred while a team from the Islamic Health Association was attempting to rescue individuals from the site of an earlier airstrike. Initially, one paramedic was killed, and another went missing. Subsequent rescue attempts met with further attacks, resulting in the deaths of two more paramedics and injuries to three others.

The Lebanese health ministry expressed outrage, labeling the strikes a 'flagrant crime.' They emphasized that healthcare professionals are now direct targets in a clear violation of international humanitarian laws. According to the health ministry, over 2,100 individuals have perished since the war began in early March, including numerous health workers.

In his community, Serhan was known not only for his bravery but also as a loving father. His tragic loss resonated deeply with colleagues and community members, reflecting the broader humanitarian crisis resulting from the ongoing violence.
